A 31 year old farmer, Abdul Salam has been arrested by Police for murdering his 6 year old son at Adidaase near Amanso Amenfi in Wassa Amenfi District of Western region. He cut off his son’s head and legs and hid them in a bush. The boy had reportedly gone missing since Monday, a development that saw the Unit Committee members in the area conducting a search for him. After a fruitless search, Abdul Salam was interrogated during which he confessed that he killed his son to sell the head and the legs. DSP Kingsley Owusu Bempah ,  Asankragua District Police Commander in an interview on TV3, said the suspect is believed to have committed the heinous crime on his biological child for purposes of money rituals. He noted that the police will conduct detailed investigations into the matter to fishout any persons who might be involved in the murder.
