A construction worker miraculously survived a life-threatening accident this morning at a building site, after an iron rod pierced through his head while he was working.

Eyewitnesses say the tragic incident happened when the man slipped and fell from a height, landing on exposed reinforcement bars. One of the iron rods pierced his skull, but incredibly missed all major arteries and brain areas.

Photos from the scene show the rod entering from one side of his head and exiting the other. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where surgeons successfully removed the rod. Medical staff have described his survival as nothing short of a miracle.
